OK for one night
Our room was oceanfront on the 10th floor. We were there on a summer weekend night, so the prices here as well as elsewhere on the boardwalk are really pricey so you often don't get anything great for what we paid, which was $300 plus tax, and we knew that. I did want the room to be acceptably clean though, and it was. The view was great too. The breakfast food in the restaurant was decent. The hotel is really worn though so if you are looking for something special this won't be it. In fact we found out from the help that the hotel IS GOING TO BE CLOSING DOWN IN SEPTEMBER. A new owner has bought it as well as the neighboring Howard Johnsons, and it will undergo a complete renovation and will no longer be a Holiday Inn. So don't expect any improvement this summer. Definitely not worth a trip back this summer.
