We visit Santa Fe frequently for business and pleasure. This time, we thought we'd try Comfort Inn. The bed was horrible. It was as hard as a box spring, with just the slightest of padding. It also was so old that it was broke down on the sides so you would roll from the center to the edge. We asked for a blanket, and we placed this under us for more cushion. Then we needed more pillows and placed them on our sides to keep us from rolling off of the bed. We were lucky to get four hours sleep!
Now while we are prepared for the noise factor, we were near a door that went to the stairwell and this was in constant use, the neighbor above us paced relentlessly back and forth for hours and then when we finally drifted off to sleep, the neighbors beside us woke us at 1:30 in the morning with their private relations by hitting their wall so hard OUR headboard banged against the wall!!! It was quite uncomfortable and I only mentioned the bed situation to the front desk staff, but was offered no apology and only a $25.00 discount for the inconvenience.
We had reservations to stay at Comfort Inn in September, but asked the front desk staff to cancel my reservation. She said she did and provided a cancellation number, but when I got home and decided to check online the reservation remained. If I didn't decide to reconfirm the cancellation, I would have been charged for the reservation in September, as a no show! I'm glad I checked.
I would not recommend this hotel to anyone.
