Best Vacation Spot for chilren with Special Needs

We were iffy about visiting Pebbles for the first time based on what we read on TripAdvisor. We brought along our 6yr.old son who is autistic and requires special attention. Before arriving I informed the resort that my son would require a nanny who is able to understand his needs and has to be very patient. My husband wanted to bring our own sitter but I wanted a vacation with just us and our boy. Our room was not ready upon arrival but our nanny greeted us and gave us a tour and told us that we could still use the facilities until our suite was prepared. Our son was a bit shy at first and refused to talk to our nanny but she was so persistent and understanding of his needs and never gave up until he started laughing with her. My husband was so surprised of our son's reaction to a stranger. As soon as our room was ready, our son was very comfortable with our nanny and she did not act weird around him like most people normally do. She was comfortable and genuine. It's been 11 yrs since we were able to visit a resort and relax and not worry about our child. We even did a tour to Glistening Waters by ourselves and our son was well taken care of in our absence. He is allergic to nuts and dairy products and our nanny and the chef ensured that he got generous servings of his favorite foods. We felt like we were the only guests at the resort even though it was full. There were tons of activities to do if we wanted to but we just wanted to spend quality time together. It was the best vacation we've had in 11yrs.
