Wow. Not like that at all
What a scathing review. Yes, this place is not brand new. It's an old house, not the Westin. I've stayed in lots of B&Bs and the Marion Inn compares favorably.
First, the location. It can't be beat. Steps from the Green Line. Around the corner from Beacon St.
Second, the rooms: the furniture is older but not falling apart by any means. The beds are fine. Not top-of-the line but what you should expect from a B&B.
Third, breakfast. Yea, it's on the light side. Coffee wasn't good. I don't think they advertise a full breakfast. They could improve this.
Fourth, cleanliness: I don't remember them cleaning our room during our stay but I remember it being clean when we got there.
Fifth, service. It's a small-time operation so you get personal service. They were very friendly. Given some of the eccentrics that run some B&Bs they were very helpful.
Finally, Value. You can't beat the price for the location. Best value around. I plan on going again.
If you want a comfortable place to stay for a fair value in a great location you could do a lot worse than the Marion Inn.
