Amanpulo is a beautiful resort with every amenity one could wish for. We had a weekend of complete luxury there. However, I don't think I'd ever go back because I prefer tourism in places where people live. This is an artificial environment created for wealthy tourists who want to escape from the world, not see or live in it. It really is a "fantasy island," part of the growing movement of what is called "immaculate tourism." When you're there you could be any place in the world that has nice weather and a beautiful beach.
