Of the three major seaside resorts that we have visited in the Philippines, Amanpulo tops our list. It was the perfect vacation that we ever had - just peaceful and very relaxing. The service was great, the casita which was located inside a lush vegetation was really beautiful and very comfortable. The resort is located in the pamalican islands east of Palawan and can be reached by a private plane. The only con about the place is the pesky sandfly. Be prepared to put on your Off! repellent when you are outdoors.
