Getting here is half the fun--a spiralling train ride down inside a mountain on the Flom railroad and then a ferry to this wonderful old Victorian beauty. Ask for one of the turret rooms. The dining room looks out over the water and porpoises do their stuff while you eat one of the best buffet meals in Norway. There's a great stave church to visit and a glacier to hike over. Altogether, the highlight of a terrific vacation in Norway. We went from here by ferry to Bergen.
