Will never return
There was no outside lighting, and therefore you had to carry a flashlight everywhere for fear of snakes, skunks, etc. The place needed major upkeep in regards to grass mowing and getting rid of weeds and overgrowth everywhere. We kept smelling a skunk during the middle of the night. Our daughter joined us from college and was told to park in the overflow parking, which was in a remote, overgrown location with not lighting. It did not look safe for her car to be there. There was only one bathhouse for the entire campground, and it was not air conditioned (or else the air was not working properly). The bathhouse also had a note on the door to keep the door closed, and so you would leave after a bath just as sweaty as before your bath. We would leave early in the morning to visit the historical sites when no one was in the office, and when we would return in the evenings to express my concerns, no one would be available in the office after 7:00 pm, I also noticed that the one vehicle per site rule did not apply to those staying in the more expensive/larger cabins, which seems unfair to me. Also, my husband got into red bugs while taking down our popup. We would have left after the first night, but were required to pay for the full stay the day we arrived, and according to their policy would have lost the money we had already paid.
