treated like visiting royalty
I was lucky to have been assigned a room at the Bristol while on layover awaiting entry on business to another country. The hotel manager (Hani) treated me like I was an embassador from the US. I was very impressed with the attention to even the smallest details like making sure I had a cab available to me for shopping excursions. The food & beverage manager (Ali) took time to ask me at every meal if everything was satisfactory. I even had an incident with one of the cab drivers taking me to places to shop where the owners were paying him to bring me even though i wanted to spend monies elsewhere. The head of security took the cab information and brought the offending cab driver to address the issues immediately
