W is spelled with a P in India
The Park is very much of the "W" hotels mold -- a local version. Take a basic concrete shell of a building with a not very spectacular aspect and standard-size rooms, then add a surface of slick decor and what we think of as style. A few years from now, it will need a different style. For now, I was happy to check in to a room with somewhat different furnishings and lighting. Basically comfortable. The shower in my room flooded the bathroom (did someone from London help figure out how to fix the curtain and lip to the stall?), but aside from that hard to complain.
food tasty, gym somewhat claustrophoic but pretty well equipped, outdoor terrace wedged into the space. Staff was very nice and helpful, found my mobile phone before I realized I had left it in the room.
I felt like it was fine for Bangalore, until I saw the very lovely Oberoi around the corner with its beautiful gardens...
