My husband and I travel a lot for his job. We always stay at Choice Hotels and typically Sleep Inns (because of the wonderful service and layout of the rooms) when they are in the city we will be visiting.
This particular visit to the Sarasota Sleep Inn was terrible and we will never stay here again when we visit Sarasota in the future.
When we checked-in the air conditioner in our room was turned off and it was HOT in our room. It didn't cool off until we had been in the room about 5 or 6 hours. Then, there were no towels in our room and we had to request them from down front. Also, half of the light's in our room were blown out. Our room was obviously not prepared.
All of the front desk clerks were unfriendly and one very rude. The pool obviously hadn't been cleaned in several days. When going to the pool we were told to use our hotel room towels, after coming back from the pool the maid had not left any clean towels after cleaning our room so we called down front to find out there were no towels and wouldn't be for another 2 hours.
The outside of the building is very nice and taken care of but I can't say the same for the rooms.
We will never recommend Sleep Inn at Sarasota to anyone who will be visiting the area.
