We stayed only one night and would have loved to stay longer. We arrived late saturday night. The owners Vern and Claudia treated us like family. Conversation was great and we even learned some Morro Bay history. Breakfast was candle lit. We had poached pear, french toast, OJ, coffee, scones. It was wonderful. We stayed in the Bordeaux room with an ocean view for only $130.00. We have traveled that area before and it was better than the ascot sweets in my opinion because it is a bed and breakfast. The rooms are like a house, not a hotel. Ascot runs around $299 a weekend night. It was walking distance from the main strip/shops/restaurant. About 4 blocks?? We will definately return again and plan to catch the wine and cheese evening they provide! Oh and I cant forget their dog Trap! He will sit and wait until you are done eating before entering the room! We had a great time. Highly recommended. The online virtual tour gives a decent idea of the room. Hope this helps and if you stay, be sure to right in the journal. Visitors from all over the world have written in them.
