Nice Place ... However
The wife and I stayed here for 3 days in July 09, when we went to see Crater Lake National Park. At first we were in enamored with the resort. The room was comfortable, clean and well keep. They also offered a nice café that served breakfast, lunch & dinner, a rather nice dining room overlooking Diamond Lake, and a nice small cocktail lounge as well as a nice conference room for conventions. There was also a small convenience store attached to the boat house -- which rented boats by the hour or the day, as well as fishing. The resort also offered a small lending library of books, and a quaint & cozy atmosphere. And nature is EVERYWHERE. It is green, and lush and wonderfully wild the second you step out your door in the morning.
The only problems we encountered were that they allowed dogs to stay here in the motel rooms. We encountered 2 problems on 3 of the nights when we were there. One morning we were woke up from a dog barking his head off at 6am and another time were up until 1 am because of another dog howling from 10pm to 1 am. Both of the times it was from rooms on either side of ours and the owners of the dogs had left them alone "Which your not suppose to do at this resort" It took them fairly long to find each of these dogs owns and get the dogs to quit down.
The place would have had a much better rating if it weren't for the dog problems. The resort has a lot space for camping ground, nice cabins and 2 motel type buildings.
We recommend this resort, however advise people to as for a end unit if you stay in one of the motel type rooms and ask if anyone has any dogs next to your unit.
