Me and my 2 kids (17 & 3) stayed here for 5 nights in June 09. I liked the layout of the room. I liked going out onto the balcony and looking down at the river. What I didn't like was the neighbors coming onto the balcony to smoke. These are non-smoking rooms, so they smoke on the balcony which then drifts through the mesh screen for my family to smell and get run back into our room. When I complained to the front desk, I was told that as long as they weren't smoking in the room, there was nothing they could do except move MY FAMILY. I did not like that.
The breakfast kitchenette area was small. It's best to take the food back to your room. There was maybe 4 tables and the chairs were practically bumping into each other. The pool area was nice. Walking in the creek was nice. The location was pretty central for what we were doing.
The bathroom was small. If you wanted to close the door, you had to stand between the tub and toilet.
There were a lot of positives and I can handle any of the negatives except the smoking right next to us and nothing being done about it. I mean come on, they have smoking rooms, why wouldn't the guest stay there instead of in a non-smoking room? And why allow smoking on the balcony of a non-smoking room? Do they not think the smoke will go through the open door into the room? Or do they think that if someone is holding a cigeratte that they will put it out or down before entering the room each time? Non-smoking means NON-SMOKING!
