WOULD NEVER STOP HERE AGAIN

While travelling to Virginia Beach with my 4 small children I stopped here to stay somewhere for the night. Went in around midnight, kids in car sleeping. The manager would not give me a room because my credit card was being denied due to the fact that another reservation was already holding the card. I explained this to the manager, and asked if i could pay cash for the room instead of using a credit card he told me they HAD to have a card to put into the system and that he could not accept my cash. I explained that i had 4 small children in the car an that I was not able to continue driving to our destination safely and i would really appreciate any help he could give me. He pointed me to the hotel across the street that was completely booked. My 4 kids and I slept in the parking lot of this hotel where we could see that the hotel CLEARLY had room for us. I counted 23 empty rooms. While sleeping in the car 4am there were 10 gunshots and no police came or anything. I would not recommend stopping in Charlottesville for ANYTHING!!!
