Beautiful hotel but service was fair.
The hotel itself is beautiful with the very modern, sleek decor that my husband I find appealing. There is a very calm, serene vibe to the hotel until night when it becomes a little more lively. We stayed on the 10th floor in a Level suite which was very nice and had a great hot-tub, in addition to a large balcony with a bed for sunning oneself. The view of the beach below was fabulous. We had an all inclusive package and the food was very good - not great- but very good. We enjoyed the breakfast the most. Unfortunately, we did have one bad experience. The hot-tub in the suite above our suite leaked and we ended up with our ceiling filled with water that leaked all over out floor. It took a very long time for anyone to respond to our request for maintenance and when someone finally came to fix it (which required climbing into our ceiling and draining the water and then re-plastering the ceiling) he spoke no English so it was difficult to understand when the repairs would be complete. The next day the same problem happened and there was water all over the floor in our suite, and again a response was very slow, leaving me to mop up the water with our towels! We complained to management and were changed to a new suite and were each given a complimentary 25 minute massage, but we felt the compensation was too late and too little. The spa was lovely and we enjoyed the free internet access at the hotel.
