I had left the booking of my hotel in Puerto Rico to my travelling companion. My previous stays on the island were all on the Condado, I was therfore tken aback at the peeling facade of the Olimpo when I arrived. It may have been something fine in its day, but despite some evidence of renovations, this Hotel is is long past its prime. Miramar is definitely too far from the action in Puerto Rico
On arrival at the Olimpo Court there was no one to help with the luggage, the guest elevator was not working and we were obliged to use the service elevator which is located next to a foul smelling dumpster, the hotel stairwell reeked of disinfectant and the man at the front desk was rude. Suffice to say we stayed at the Olimpo Court (or I should say our luggage stayed) for as long as it took for us to walk around the corner to check in at the Marriott Miramar. $78.00 down the drain!!!
